Description
A Gozar! Levine?s Latin Band provides students of all instruments, ages, and levels with opportunities to develop their musical skills and explore the art of Latin jazz music through percussion instruments, rhythms, genres, and languages from the Latin Diaspora.
Whether you are a traditionally trained student who is curious about the world of jazz and global music or you are an experienced jazz musician looking to expand your cultural arts experiences, Levine Latin Band is the place to develop your talent in a supportive community. We ask all students to possess music reading ability with 2+ years of experience. For students 15-18 years of age, you must audition or submit a recommendation from your private teacher/band director.

Students will have the opportunity to:
Participate and perform in a variety of age-appropriate small and large ensembles based on instrument or voice, experience, and availability. All musicians are welcome!
Study and play songs from the standard Latin jazz repertoire.
Develop their improvisation abilities.
Enhance their understanding of jazz theory and history.
Make friends and build a supportive social and musical community through fun, team building social activities.
